Police in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna district have solved a major theft case and recovered gold jewellery worth approximately ₹1.48 crore. According to police, members of the Pardi gang had buried the stolen jewellery underground in a cornfield located along the Parvati River. Two members of the gang have been arrested in connection with the case, while 10 other accused remain on the run.
According to police, the theft took place at the house of Panchayat Secretary Babulal Meena in Chak Churela village under the Fatehgarh police station area. Police allege that a total of 12 members of the Pardi gang were involved in the burglary. The accused reportedly took away the entire safe from the house.
Gold Buried Near an Electricity Pole
During the investigation, police obtained crucial information about the stolen jewellery. Investigators learned that after carrying out the theft, the gang members had buried the gold jewellery underground in a cornfield along the Parvati River, near an electricity pole.
Police subsequently reached the location and conducted a search and excavation. During the operation, gold jewellery worth approximately ₹1.48 crore was recovered from beneath the ground.
Two Accused Arrested, Search Underway for 10 Others
Police have arrested two alleged members of the Pardi gang in connection with the case. Meanwhile, efforts are underway to locate the 10 other members allegedly involved in the incident. Police teams are conducting raids at suspected locations in an effort to apprehend them.
Investigators are also trying to determine how the gang carried out the burglary and how the accused planned to conceal the stolen property in the cornfield after the crime.
Following the recovery of gold jewellery worth around ₹1.48 crore, police are now working to trace the remaining members of the gang. Further details related to the theft are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
