New Delhi: The monsoon has become active once again across several parts of the country, including North India. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rainfall alert for 22 states on September 15, 2026. A red alert has been issued for Gujarat due to the possibility of extremely heavy rainfall, while Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and several other states are likely to experience thunderstorms, strong winds and rain.
According to the weather department, the spell of rain may continue for some time across eastern, western, central and southern parts of the country. Several areas may also experience lightning, thunder and strong winds.
Light Rain Likely in Delhi-NCR
Delhi and adjoining NCR areas are likely to remain cloudy on Tuesday, with chances of light rainfall. According to the weather department, the maximum temperature in Delhi may remain around 32 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature could be around 24 degrees Celsius.
The rainfall may bring down temperatures slightly, making the weather relatively pleasant.
Red Alert for Heavy Rain in Gujarat
The monsoon remains particularly active in Gujarat. The weather department has issued a warning of extremely heavy rainfall in several districts of the state.
