Lucknow Triple Murder: 3 Shot Dead, 8 Named in FIR So Far

A shocking triple murder unfolded in Lucknow’s Saadatganj area, where three members of the same family were shot dead. The police have registered an FIR naming eight individuals in connection with the case following a complaint by Ruchi Tiwari, wife of one victim Shivendra Tiwari, also known as Shambhu. Among the accused are five men and three women, including the main suspect, Rishabh Shukla, who was arrested at the crime scene.

Investigation and FIR Details

The FIR names Rajesh Shukla, Rishabh Shukla, Girish Shukla, Dinesh Shukla, Munna Shukla, Divya Shukla, Priya, and Aditi as the accused. Serious charges have been filed, and investigation is underway. According to Ruchi Tiwari’s statement, the victims—Shivendra Tiwari, Shivaji Tiwari, and Suyash—were surrounded, assaulted, and then shot. Police are gathering evidence from the crime scene and examining witness statements to piece together the events.

The main suspect, Rishabh Shukla, was apprehended immediately after the shooting. Police Commissioner Tarun Gaba stated that Rishabh was caught with a pistol, and the dispute reportedly stemmed from a parking conflict. Authorities have detained three men and two women so far, while three others named in the FIR remain at large. Their whereabouts are actively being pursued.

Background of the Dispute

The underlying cause appears to be a longstanding conflict between neighbors about constructing a platform under a banyan tree near their homes in Brahman Tola, Naubasta. Shivaji Tiwari’s family resides there, and the tree sits right in front of their house. Neighbor Rishabh Shukla and the Tiwari family had a tense history over the platform’s construction, which escalated about one and a half months ago and had even been reported to police previously. Despite halting the platform construction at that time, tensions remained high.

On the morning of the incident, Shambhu Tiwari parked his car near the banyan tree. This triggered a heated argument with Rishabh regarding the parking spot. The argument quickly turned violent when Rishabh fired at Shambhu. Hearing gunshots, Shivaji Tiwari came outside and was also shot. Shortly after, Suyash emerged from the house and was targeted and fatally shot as well.

The FIR further alleges multiple assailants surrounded and physically attacked the victims during the attack, though police are still verifying the involvement of other suspects. Investigators are also examining the relationship dynamics between the accused and victims, as well as their roles in the incident.

Shivaji Tiwari, 62, a retired electricity department employee, was once a prominent RSS district leader. His brother Shivendra worked at Lucknow University. Suyash, 30, was engaged in an electrical goods business and had wedding plans set for December 5. The triple killing has deeply shocked the local community, and police presence at the scene remains substantial to maintain order.

The accused, Rishabh Shukla, formerly a navigation officer in the Merchant Navy, had been dismissed from service. Locals confirm prior quarrels between the two families over parking and the platform issue. Police are still uncovering the real motive behind the attack and investigating how other named suspects are connected.

The police are committed to thoroughly investigating the case, collecting all available evidence and questioning those involved to ensure justice in this tragic incident. Updates will follow as the investigation progresses.
