Ahead of the West Indies tour of India, the Indian team’s selection committee will have several important decisions to make. For the three-match ODI series against the Caribbean side, experienced batter and wicketkeeper KL Rahul is likely to be appointed vice-captain of the Indian team. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant and Dhruv Jurel could be involved in a close contest for the wicketkeeper’s role.
The West Indies will tour India next month, with the two teams scheduled to play three ODIs and five T20 internationals. The ODI series will begin on September 27 in Thiruvananthapuram. The second match will be played in Guwahati on September 30, followed by the third ODI in Mullanpur on October 3.

Shubman Gill is expected to lead the Indian team in the ODI series. KL Rahul is reportedly being considered for the vice-captaincy role.
