Youth Voices to Echo in Indore as Rahul Gandhi Set to Join ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ Programme on September 12

Indore, Madhya Pradesh

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to participate in the ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ programme scheduled to be held in Indore on September 12. During the event, Gandhi will interact directly with Gen Z and young people and deliver a presentation on various issues concerning the youth of Madhya Pradesh and the country.

The Indore event will be the next programme in the ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ series being organised by the Congress. Earlier events under the series have been held in Kota, Dehradun, Prayagraj and Pune. Preparations for the upcoming programme in Indore have now gained momentum.

The proposed event is expected to begin with a concert, followed by Gandhi’s presentation on youth-related issues. Discussions will then focus on concerns and challenges faced by young people. This will be followed by a direct question-and-answer session between Rahul Gandhi and the youth.

Students and young people will be able to raise their problems, suggestions and questions directly with Gandhi. The programme is aimed at providing young people with an opportunity for direct interaction, with engagement with Gen Z expected to be a major focus of the event.

Rahul Gandhi’s assistant, KV Baiju, arrived in Indore on Saturday to discuss preparations and the overall framework of the programme. He held a meeting with Madhya Pradesh Congress president Jitu Patwari and other Congress leaders. The meeting focused on preparations, possible arrangements and various aspects of the event.

According to sources, a prominent singer or music group may also perform at the programme. The Congress is reportedly working on plans to make the event more attractive to young audiences. However, no singer or music group has been finalised so far. The final decision regarding the performer is expected to be taken in Delhi.

The Congress has also begun the process of finalising the venue. Following the meeting, City Congress president Chintu Chouksey wrote to the Municipal Commissioner, requesting the reservation of Nehru Stadium for four days. The stadium is expected to be required for preparations ahead of the event as well as for the programme itself.

Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Indore is being seen as an important step for the Congress in its efforts to strengthen outreach among young people. Education, employment and other youth-related issues are expected to remain at the centre of discussions during the programme.

Through the ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ initiative, the Congress is seeking to establish direct engagement with the younger generation. The question-and-answer session between Rahul Gandhi and the youth is expected to be one of the main highlights of the event.

Preparations for the September 12 programme are likely to intensify in the coming days. More clarity is also expected soon regarding the performing artists, final venue arrangements and other details. The event in Indore is expected to provide an important platform for direct interaction between Rahul Gandhi and young people.
