Oppo has officially launched its latest software update, ColorOS 17, in the global market. Featuring a fresh design, enhanced performance, and several artificial intelligence (AI) powered features, the update aims to improve the overall user experience. In India, the update will roll out for the Oppo Find X10 series starting October 22, 2026, while eligible Oppo, OnePlus, and Realme devices will begin receiving the update from October 29, 2026.
What’s New in ColorOS 17?
ColorOS 17 introduces the Living Flow design, which enhances the interface with smoother animations, visual improvements, and more responsive touch controls. Oppo has also developed the new Luminous Render Engine to boost device performance while reducing memory consumption. The company claims the rendering load can drop by up to 30%, and RAM usage can decrease by 25% in certain situations.
App launch stability is also said to have improved by 55%, and thumbnails in the gallery load 50% faster when opened for the first time. These optimizations contribute to a smoother and faster user experience on supported devices.
The update brings impressive AI features by integrating services like ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Perplexity with the AI Mind Pilot. This system can assist users in organizing and renaming files and photos, as well as helping plan travel itineraries. Users can edit photos by simply giving natural language instructions through the AI Photo Agent.
AI Capabilities and Security Enhancements
AI Mind Space organizes saved documents and video links for easy retrieval later. Additionally, the AI Call Guard feature alerts users to potential fraud calls by identifying AI-generated voices and face-related scams. These security upgrades aim to provide safer communication experiences for Oppo users.
The update rollout will happen in phases, not all devices will receive the software simultaneously. The process may extend into the first quarter of 2027. Alongside the Find, Reno, K, and F series from Oppo, selected OnePlus and Realme smartphones and tablets will also get the update.
According to Oppo’s schedule, the Find N6, Find X9 Ultra, Find X9s, Find X9 Pro, and Find X9 will receive the update starting October 29. On October 30, devices like Find N5, Find X8 Pro, Find X8, and select Reno16 models will follow. November will see updates for the Find N3 series, Reno15, Reno14, K14, K13x, F33, F31, F29, and more.
December will bring updates to Reno13, K13, K13 Turbo, and Oppo Pad 3 and Pad 5 tablets, while early 2027 will cover the Find N2 Flip, Reno12 series, select F series phones, and the Pad SE tablet. OnePlus and Realme devices have similar phased update plans, starting as early as October 29 for models like OnePlus Pad 4 and Realme GT 8 Pro series.
