Delhi Police Bust Major Gambling Den in Mukundpur, 22 Arrested; ₹6.20 Lakh Cash Recovered

New Delhi, Delhi: Delhi Police has busted an alleged gambling den in Mukundpur and arrested 22 people, recovering around ₹6.20 lakh in cash along with playing cards, number boards, betting slips and other gambling-related materials.

The raid was conducted under the jurisdiction of Bhalswa Dairy Police Station after the Anti-Narcotics Squad of Outer North District received information about gambling activities at a premises near 25 Foota, Som Bazaar, Mukundpur.

Police Raid Gambling Den in Mukundpur

Acting on the information, a police team planned a raid at the suspected gambling premises. The team was led by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Amit Kaushik.

Police surrounded the premises in the early hours of Sunday and conducted the raid. Several people were found at the location and were detained by the police.

During the operation, officers recovered approximately ₹6.20 lakh in cash, along with playing cards, number boards, betting slips and other materials allegedly being used for gambling.

Gambling Operation Allegedly Running for One Year

According to the preliminary investigation, the alleged gambling operation had been running in the Mukundpur area for around one year.

Police are now investigating who was operating the premises and whether other people were involved in the alleged gambling network. Investigators are also examining how the money was collected and managed and how frequently people visited the location.

The cash and other materials recovered during the raid have been taken into police custody as part of the investigation.

22 People Arrested and Questioned

The 22 arrested individuals are being questioned as police work to establish the complete network behind the alleged gambling operation.

Investigators are also trying to identify other people who may have been associated with the gambling activities. Further details are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
