The investigation into the murder of Haryanvi singer Ankit Balyan is now moving forward rapidly. Police and the Special Task Force (STF) have reportedly identified four shooters believed to be involved in the crime, and a large-scale operation has been launched to arrest them. Eight teams of the STF and police are currently stationed in Haryana and conducting raids at possible hideouts.
Investigators have found clues suggesting possible links between the murder case and the Gogi gang, which is believed to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi network. The possible involvement of the Rajesh alias Pampu gang is also being investigated. Police believe that several individuals may have provided assistance at different levels in carrying out the crime.
According to the police, one of the four identified shooters has serious criminal cases, including a murder case, registered against him. The other three accused have allegedly been involved in minor criminal activities in the past. Investigating agencies suspect that all of them planned and carried out the murder of Ankit Balyan on the instructions of a gang leader.
According to sources, one shooter or associate was allegedly brought into the operation by the Pampu gang. He is suspected of conducting reconnaissance of Ankit Balyan’s movements. Police are now investigating how long the singer had been under surveillance before the crime and identifying all those who may have assisted in monitoring his activities.
Meerut Zone ADG Bhanu Bhaskar has deployed 15 teams to crack the murder case. Along with the STF, local police teams are also investigating different aspects of the case. Eight teams are continuously conducting raids in Haryana in an effort to trace and surround the suspected shooters.
Another important detail has emerged during the investigation. The suspects are believed to have changed their clothes before entering Uttar Pradesh. Police are examining where the accused changed their clothes and whether the purpose was to conceal their identities.
The STF has also obtained information about some close associates of the shooters and individuals connected to their network. Several people are reportedly being questioned in custody. Although the STF is believed to have closed in on the suspects, no accused has been arrested so far.
Police teams are using mobile location data, CCTV footage and other technical evidence to trace the accused. Officials say the investigation is ongoing, and a major breakthrough in the case could come soon.
