84-Day Validity, Free Amazon Prime Lite and 5G Data: Which Plan Offers Better Value — Jio or Vi?

New Delhi, Delhi

India’s leading telecom operators, Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea (Vi), offer a range of long-validity prepaid plans for their customers. These include plans with 84 days of validity and access to Amazon Prime Lite. Jio’s Rs 1,029 plan and Vi’s Rs 996 plan fall into this category.

In India, an annual Amazon Prime Lite subscription costs Rs 799 when purchased separately. However, customers can receive access to Prime Lite as an additional benefit with these prepaid plans. Under both plans, the benefit is available for a limited period and subject to applicable terms and conditions.

Jio’s Rs 1,029 prepaid plan comes with 84 days of validity. Customers get unlimited voice calling, 2GB of data per day and 100 SMS per day. Over the full 84-day validity period, users can access a total of 168GB of data.

One of the major highlights of the plan is its additional benefits. Customers get a JioHotstar Mobile subscription, 50GB of JioAICloud storage and access to Amazon Prime Lite. The Prime Lite benefit is valid for 84 days. The plan is also said to include an 18-month Google AI Pro subscription. Eligible customers may additionally receive unlimited 5G data benefits.

On the other hand, Vi’s Rs 996 prepaid plan also offers 84 days of validity. Its biggest advantage is its price, as it costs Rs 33 less than Jio’s plan. The plan also includes access to Amazon Prime Lite.

However, before choosing either plan, customers should check network coverage in their area, their data requirements and eligibility for the included benefits. Access to 5G data and OTT services may not be the same for every customer and could depend on applicable terms and conditions.

Overall, Jio’s plan appears to be a stronger option for users who need more daily data, additional OTT benefits, cloud storage and other digital services. Meanwhile, Vi’s plan may be a more affordable option for users looking for 84 days of validity and Amazon Prime Lite at a lower price.

Therefore, Vi has an advantage in terms of price alone, while Jio’s Rs 1,029 plan appears to offer stronger overall value based on the total range of benefits.
