In a recent interview, Devaiah expressed his excitement about joining the Telugu cinema sphere and praised the film’s refreshing approach. “It’s fantastic to see a female-led mass entertainer work,” he said, highlighting the growing acceptance and demand for stories driven by strong women protagonists in South Indian cinema.
Known for choosing diverse and challenging roles, Devaiah shared that he looks for uniqueness even when portraying antagonistic characters. “I always aim to bring something different to each role, especially antagonists. Playing the villain doesn’t mean you can’t have layers or depth,” he explained. This mindset has helped him carve a niche in Bollywood, known for offbeat films and intense performances.
Speaking about his role in Maa Inti Bangaaram, the actor revealed that the film blends drama, action, and emotion with a narrative rooted in family and social values. Working alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu, a celebrated actor in Telugu and Tamil cinema, offered him a chance to learn from an accomplished performer. “Samantha brings such energy and authenticity to the screen; it’s been a fantastic experience working together,” he noted.
The film, which showcases a female protagonist leading a larger-than-life story, addresses broader themes of empowerment and self-reliance, resonating well with audiences. Devaiah believes that cinema is evolving, with viewers now welcoming unconventional themes and narratives that break traditional molds.
As the industry continues to embrace diverse storytelling, actors like Gulshan Devaiah play a pivotal role in enriching the cinematic landscape by choosing roles that challenge stereotypes. “I look forward to more such projects where characters are layered and the stories are meaningful,” he said, hinting at future ventures that push creative boundaries.
With Maa Inti Bangaaram marking his Telugu debut, Gulshan Devaiah has successfully fused his commitment to diversity with a commercially appealing film, establishing a promising foundation for his career in regional cinema.
