Cleanliness Campaign in Chander Vihar Successfully Organized by Gauri Shankar Social Foundation

Delhi, June 20, 2026: Demonstrating a strong commitment towards a cleaner and healthier society, Gauri Shankar Social Foundation in collaboration with Kaashh Magic Foundation successfully organized a large-scale Cleanliness Campaign in Chander Vihar on 20 June 2026. The campaign was conducted with the support and guidance of Mrs. Babina Shokeen, Municipal Councillor of Ward No. 36 (Nilothi), Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).

The cleanliness drive commenced at 8:00 AM from Aggarwal Chowk and continued until 11:30 AM, covering the stretch up to Shree Ram Chowk in Chander Vihar. Volunteers, local residents, social workers, and community members actively participated in the campaign, making it a remarkable example of public participation for environmental cleanliness and civic responsibility.

During the campaign, participants collected waste from public areas, cleaned roadsides, removed litter, and spread awareness about maintaining cleanliness in neighborhoods. The initiative aimed to encourage citizens to take responsibility for keeping their surroundings clean and to support the vision of a cleaner and greener Delhi.

Representatives of Gauri Shankar Social Foundation emphasized that cleanliness is not only the responsibility of municipal authorities but also a collective duty of every citizen.
