Following the recent shooting incident involving Bollywood star Tiger Shroff, concerns over celebrity safety have intensified across the film industry. As a direct result, the All Stars Football Club (ASFC) has indefinitely suspended all its regular football practice sessions. The club has decided that no matches or training will take place until security measures are firmly in place.
Security Measures After The Attack
ASFC, which includes several well-known Bollywood actors and celebrities who gather every Sunday evening to play football, has canceled its scheduled practice match on October 25. The club’s owner, Bunty Walia, announced the suspension of all training sessions, citing the need to ensure the safety of players and stars attending these events.
Speaking to the media, Walia confirmed, “All our sessions have been suspended for now. Until our security protocols are fully implemented, this is the most prudent step.” This decision comes as the club re-evaluates its event safety standards amid growing apprehension.
Changing Protocols to Ensure Safety
The club is also considering significant changes in how it conducts its football sessions. Under new security protocols, ASFC plans to keep its practice games away from the attention of paparazzi and media cameras. The dates and venues for upcoming matches and training sessions will not be publicly disclosed. This strategy aims to reduce crowds and public exposure during practice, thereby minimizing any potential risks to the celebrities involved.
Sources reveal that these measures are part of a broader effort to tighten security and protect the needs of high-profile players who regularly participate in these sporting events.
Details of The Juhu Shooting Incident
According to police reports, the attack occurred on the evening of October 18 around 7 p.m. Tiger Shroff had just finished his football session at the Pushpa Park ground near Jamnabai Narsee School in Juhu when three unidentified men on a motorcycle fired multiple shots at him. Fortunately, Tiger escaped unharmed, though his driver and a fan suffered injuries in the shooting.
This frightening event has put a spotlight on the vulnerability of celebrities even during recreational activities, prompting a swift response from the entertainment community to enhance security protocols.
The incident has sent ripples across Bollywood, highlighting the urgent need for stronger safety measures for actors outside of their film sets. The indefinite suspension of the ASFC football sessions reflects the growing priority given to personal security among industry stars.
