In the movie, Vijay’s character Surya sends a cheque of ₹4,000 to the Prime Minister as his personal contribution towards reducing the nation’s debt, delivering a message about individual responsibility and civic duty.
Moved by the scene and Vijay’s ideals, Arun said he wanted to “fulfil his individual debt responsibility” in real life. He submitted the contribution along with a letter explaining how cinema can inspire positive social action beyond entertainment.
