Harare, Zimbabwe: Zimbabwe have announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20 International series against India. Experienced all-rounder Sikandar Raza will captain the side, while the selectors have opted for a balanced squad featuring seasoned campaigners alongside promising new faces. Wicketkeeper-batter Tafadzwa Tsiga has earned his maiden T20I call-up, while Wesley Madhevere and fast bowler Newman Nyamhuri return to the squad.

Three Changes from Bangladesh Series

Zimbabwe have made three changes to the squad that featured in the recent T20I series against Bangladesh. Clive Madande, Tinotenda Maposa, and Tashinga Musekiwa have been left out, with Tsiga, Madhevere, and Nyamhuri coming in as replacements. The team management hopes the changes will strengthen the side ahead of the challenge against India.

Nyamhuri Boosts Pace Attack

Fast bowler Newman Nyamhuri has recovered fully from injury and is available for selection. He featured only in limited matches during the ODI series against Bangladesh due to fitness concerns. His return is expected to add depth and pace to Zimbabwe’s bowling attack. Meanwhile, Tanaka Chivanga has retained his place after consistent performances.

Tsiga in Line for T20I Debut

Having already represented Zimbabwe in 10 Test matches, Tafadzwa Tsiga has now received his first T20I call-up. If selected in the playing XI, he could make his white-ball international debut against India.
