Realme is reportedly preparing to launch its next smartphone lineup, the Realme 17 Pro Series, with a major upgrade in battery capacity. Leaked information suggests that the new series could be equipped with a massive 10,000mAh battery, a substantial increase compared to the previous 7,000mAh batteries found in the Realme 16 Pro and 16 Pro+ models. This development could significantly ease charging concerns for users.
Powerful Battery and Camera Setup
According to tipster Debayan Roy (@Gadgetsdata) on social media platform X, the upcoming Realme 17 Pro Series may come with either the Realme 17 Pro or Realme 17 Pro+ naming. The standout feature in the leak is the large 10,000mAh battery, promising longer battery life. However, actual performance will depend on the device’s usage and other hardware specifications.
Camera enthusiasts might appreciate the rumored triple rear camera setup. The primary sensor could be a 200-megapixel lens, accompanied by a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 3.5x zoom support. An ultra-wide-angle camera may also be included, providing flexibility in photography options. Nevertheless, official confirmation regarding camera quality and features is still awaited from Realme.
Display and Performance Expectations
The Realme 17 Pro Series models are expected to feature a flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, enhancing smoothness and visual experience. Notably, the display might support up to 165Hz refresh rate in certain games, making it appealing to gamers and power users.
The phones could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 chipset, delivering solid performance for various tasks. Additionally, the design might include a plastic frame, balancing durability and weight. These upgrades suggest Realme’s intent to offer competitive features in the mid-range smartphone segment.
The previous generation, Realme 16 Pro Series, was launched in January and had already impressed users with its 200-megapixel primary cameras. The Realme 16 Pro sports a 6.78-inch screen and MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max 5G chipset, while the 16 Pro+ features a slightly larger 6.8-inch display with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor.
In India, the Realme 16 Pro 5G started at ₹31,999, and the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G was priced from ₹39,999. The pricing for the upcoming Realme 17 Pro Series remains unknown, and fans will have to wait for an official announcement from the company to know the exact launch date, specifications, and cost.
For smartphone users frustrated by short battery life, the Realme 17 Pro Series could offer welcome relief with its rumored huge battery. Combined with powerful cameras and a quality display, the series might become an attractive option for those seeking long-lasting performance without compromising photography and visual experience.
Realme has not yet provided official details about the Realme 17 Pro Series. Until the company confirms these leaks, users should treat the information as preliminary. Nonetheless, the potential features suggest a noteworthy upgrade over the current Realme 16 Pro lineup.
