The mishap grabbed attention due to the significance of the festival and the film.
Ranbir Kapoor’s Dussehra Speech Stirred Reactions
In the viral video, Ranbir Kapoor, dressed in saffron attire reminiscent of his ‘Ramayanam’ character, was speaking about Dussehra’s message. While trying to highlight that evil, no matter how strong, is eventually defeated, his words became confusing due to a slip. Despite this, some attendees applauded while others appeared puzzled.
Ranbir said, “Dussehra reminds us beautifully that no matter how powerful evil is, in the end, the truth and goodness always win.” This statement elicited mixed reactions from the audience, as well as from viewers online after the clip gained rapid popularity on social media platforms.
Public and Social Media Response

One user wrote, “Only he would say that while reading from a script.” Another asked, “Is he really going to play Ram?” Some suggested that the wisdom conveyed in the film might mirror this slip. The video became a source of entertainment amid the ongoing film promotions.
On the other hand, the film’s co-star Yash, who portrays Ravana, urged fans to watch the film with an open mind. He requested viewers avoid nitpicking minor visual effects issues, emphasizing that the movie aims to present an Indian story to the world.
