PM Modi Thanks Netanyahu, Says India Gives Special Importance to Friendship with Israel

On the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day, the strengthening relationship between India and Israel has once again come into focus. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude for the greetings extended by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and highlighted the strong and continuously evolving friendship between the two countries.

Prime Minister Modi described India-Israel relations as an important partnership based on trust, cooperation and shared interests. In February 2026, he spoke about further expanding cooperation between India and Israel in areas including the economy, trade, cybersecurity, space, culture, agriculture and security.
