Meerut News: Young Man Found Hanging in Hotel Room After Door Was Broken Open, Victim Was From Shamli

Panic gripped the Khalsa Hotel in Meerut’s Sadar Bazar area on Thursday morning after the body of a young man was found hanging inside a room that had remained locked for two days. Hotel staff became suspicious after a strong foul smell began coming from the room. Police were informed and arrived at the spot before breaking open the door. Inside, they found the body of a young man from Shamli.

The deceased has been identified as Vipul Sharma. According to preliminary information, Vipul checked into the hotel on the evening of September 15. The door of his room had not been opened since then. On Thursday, hotel management alerted the police after noticing a foul smell coming from the room.

Police Break Open Door and Enter Room

After reaching the hotel, police broke open the door of the room. The young man’s body was found hanging inside. Police took the body into custody and began the necessary legal procedures. The deceased’s family was also informed about the incident.

A forensic team was called to the scene to collect relevant evidence from the room. Police are currently investigating the case and trying to establish when and under what circumstances the young man arrived at the hotel.

Five Beer Bottles Found in Room

According to police, five beer bottles were found inside the hotel room. Two of the bottles were full, while three were empty. Investigators also examined other belongings and the circumstances inside the room.

Police are also examining the hotel’s CCTV footage to determine whether anyone else entered the room after the young man checked in.

Police Investigating the Case

Following the incident, police questioned hotel staff members. Investigators are attempting to piece together the sequence of events using CCTV footage and forensic evidence.

Police have not yet confirmed any conclusion regarding the circumstances surrounding the young man’s death. Further details are expected to emerge after the post-mortem examination and completion of the investigation.

The incident came to light after the body reportedly remained inside the hotel room for two days and a foul smell developed. Police are now investigating all possible aspects of the case.
