Hardik Pandya Injury: Hardik Pandya Injured Again, Ruled Out of India A Team; Suryansh Shedge Named as Replacement

New Delhi, Delhi

Indian cricket team star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has suffered another injury. Due to the injury, he has been ruled out of the India A squad for the ODI series against Australia A, which begins on October 6.

Pandya had been included in the India A squad subject to his fitness. At the time of announcing the squad, the BCCI had made it clear that his participation would depend on his fitness. However, following his latest injury, he will now miss the series against Australia A.

According to reports, Suryansh Shedge has been named as Pandya’s replacement in the India A squad. The series, to be played in Puducherry, was considered an important opportunity for Pandya to prove his fitness.

Pandya’s fitness was being closely monitored because India is scheduled to play an ODI series during its upcoming tour of New Zealand. The team needs an all-rounder capable of bowling 10 overs in an ODI. His fitness is also considered important for India with the ODI World Cup scheduled for next year.

Hardik Pandya has not played ODI cricket since the Champions Trophy final last year. As a result, he has limited opportunities to prove his fitness and regain his place in the format.

Meanwhile, there has been another change in the squad. Washington Sundar has withdrawn from the upcoming T20I series against the West Indies. Naman Dhir has been named as his replacement.

Naman Dhir had initially been selected for the India A squad. He has now been replaced in the India A team by Jharkhand spinner Anukul Roy.
