New Delhi, Delhi. Gold and silver prices witnessed another rise on August 26. Both precious metals were trading higher in international markets as well as in the domestic futures market. With prices continuing to climb, buying gold and silver is becoming more expensive for consumers than before.
In the international market, both gold and silver recorded gains on Comex. At the time of writing, gold prices were up around 0.23 percent, trading near $4,705.20 per ounce. Silver also gained about 0.91 percent and was trading near $69.305 per ounce.
Gold and silver also remained higher on the domestic futures market, the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). Gold was trading up by around Rs 268 at approximately Rs 1,63,150 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, silver gained nearly Rs 1,573, reaching around Rs 2,45,700 per kilogram.
In the bullion market, prices of different gold categories also remained at elevated levels. 24-carat gold was priced at around Rs 1,63,150 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at approximately Rs 1,49,848 per 10 grams. The price of 18-carat gold stood at around Rs 1,22,603 per 10 grams.
Silver prices also remained elevated in the domestic market, reaching around Rs 2,47,840 per kilogram. However, prices may vary slightly across different cities and bullion markets depending on taxes, making charges and local demand.
