Airtel’s ₹200 Plan Now Includes Free YouTube Premium Subscription

Bharti Airtel, the second-largest telecom operator in India, has partnered with YouTube to enhance its prepaid offerings. Under this new collaboration, Airtel’s ₹200 prepaid plan now includes a free subscription to YouTube Premium. This move provides users with an enriched entertainment package combining mobile data with ad-free video streaming.

Details of Airtel’s ₹200 Prepaid Plan

The ₹200 prepaid pack from Airtel offers users 30GB of mobile data along with a validity period of 28 days. Apart from data, subscribers also receive complimentary access to popular streaming services. This includes Amazon Prime Video mobile edition, JioHotstar Mobile for 28 days, ZEE5 Premium, and SonyLIV subscriptions, all part of the bundle to provide diversified entertainment options.

With this comprehensive plan, Airtel aims to attract users by combining extensive data benefits with premium OTT memberships. The addition of YouTube Premium enhances the value proposition by giving users access to an ad-free and smoother video viewing experience on the platform.

Benefits of the YouTube Premium Subscription

The free YouTube Premium subscription bundled with the ₹200 plan unlocks multiple features. Users can watch YouTube videos and Shorts without ads, ensuring uninterrupted viewing. The subscription also includes YouTube Music Premium, allowing users to stream music seamlessly.

Subscribers gain the ability to download videos for offline viewing and enjoy background playback. This means audio or video continues playing even when the phone screen is off or when using other apps. However, background playback does not function within the Shorts player, as stated by YouTube.

Additionally, YouTube Premium removes all platform advertisements, although creator-made sponsorships and promotions may still appear in videos. This comprehensive set of features is aimed at delivering a premium content consumption experience for Airtel users.

Despite these benefits, Airtel advises customers to verify the subscription tier via the Airtel app before recharging. The ₹200 pack is primarily a data pack requiring an active plan to utilize the services effectively. Users should ensure they meet all conditions to fully benefit from the offer.

How to Claim YouTube Premium

After recharging with the ₹200 prepaid plan, users can claim their YouTube Premium subscription through the Airtel Thanks app. By opening the app and navigating to the Rewards and OTT section, subscribers can find the YouTube Premium option and redeem it to activate their free subscription seamlessly.
