The online application process began on October 29, 2026, and will remain open until November 20, 2026. Candidates who have completed 10th grade, ITI, diploma, or graduate qualifications can apply according to their eligibility.
Apprenticeship Opportunity Across India
The recruitment drive covers various centers nationwide, including Dehradun, Delhi, Jodhpur, Goa, Hazira, Mumbai, Uran, and Panvel. These apprenticeships are being offered under the Apprentices Act of 1961. It is important to note that these positions are for training purposes and do not constitute permanent government jobs. Applicants must refer to ONGC notification number ONGC/APPR/1/2026 for detailed information.
The age of applicants should be between 18 and 24 years as on November 29, 2026. Age relaxation of up to 5 years is provided to SC and ST candidates, 3 years to OBC candidates, and between 10 to 15 years to persons with disabilities, as per rules. Applicants must be residents of or have studied in the relevant districts for which they apply.
Eligibility and Application Details
The recruitment is open for candidates ranging from 10th pass to graduates, with separate educational criteria for different trades. Aspirants must thoroughly check eligibility for their respective trades before applying. Work experience of one year or more or previous apprenticeship makes candidates ineligible.
Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend ranging from ₹8,200 to ₹12,300 depending on their trade and educational qualification. The apprenticeship training will last 12 months. The selection process does not include a written examination but is based solely on academic merit.
Merit lists will be prepared based on marks obtained in educational qualifications, followed by document verification. In cases where two applicants have identical scores, preference will be given to the older candidate. The final results are scheduled to be announced on December 15, 2026.
Candidates need to register online for apprenticeships on specific portals depending on their trade category: apprenticeshipindia.gov.in for NAPS trades and nats.education.gov.in for NATS trades. Required documents include birth certificates, academic mark sheets, degrees or ITI certificates, caste certificates (if applicable), disability certificates (if applicable), and identification proof.
