10 Arrested in Tiger Shroff Firing Case, Weapons Yet to Be Recovered

Authorities have arrested ten suspects so far in the firing incident involving actor Tiger Shroff. The Delhi Special Cell apprehended four individuals—two women named Radha and Babita, and two men, Kunal and Sumit—accused of procuring and supplying weapons. Additionally, three men from Haryana—Jatin, Sameer, and Ankit—were caught, while the Kota police arrested Rehan, Phool Singh, and Hrithik. These suspects were handed over to Mumbai Police on a three-day transit remand on Wednesday.

Ongoing Investigation into Weapon Supply and Gang Links

The police continue to probe the connections among the arrested individuals, focusing on their roles in the weapons supply chain and the involvement of alleged handler Anil Pandit. The Anti-Extortion Cell is actively working on the case. During their court appearance at Killa Court on Wednesday, the public prosecutor stressed the need to identify the source of the weapons acquired by the suspects, who come from different states.

Authorities are also investigating whether the crime has any links to the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Lodges and hotels in Andheri and Dadar have been placed under surveillance as potential hideouts for the accused. The Delhi Special Cell made significant strides by arresting four key suspects involved in the supply network.

Women’s Emerging Role in the Criminal Network

The arrested women, Radha and Babita, allegedly transported pistols and cartridges from Haryana to Mumbai, where shooters received them. This development has raised concerns over women’s involvement in the Lawrence Bishnoi gang’s operations. Police revealed that Kunal and Sumit procured a pistol and 20 cartridges from Amritsar. There is suspicion that these weapons were hidden at prearranged locations, a tactic known as the ‘dead letter box,’ which helps avoid direct contact.

Kunal purportedly collaborated with Radha, using her help to deliver the firearms to the three shooters. Babita assisted Radha, and both women traveled by train to Mumbai on October 17 carrying the weapons. In Dadar, the firearms were transferred via a minor. However, officials have not confirmed the women’s direct affiliation with the gang.

The weapons used in the attack on Tiger Shroff were reportedly picked up from Amritsar and transported through a multi-state network involving women operatives. This indicates a sophisticated strategy by criminal gangs to evade detection by spreading tasks across various regions.

Investigators highlight the importance of disrupting this supply chain to counter such crimes effectively. Uncovering the movement of weapons, tracking financial transactions, deciphering communication methods, and reaching gang leaders are crucial steps in the investigation.

The complex network involving members from different states and the involvement of women shows the evolving nature of organized crime. Law enforcement agencies are working round the clock to dismantle this chain and bring all responsible individuals to justice by tracing the entire flow of arms and information.
