On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama wrote a letter to him extending birthday wishes. He wished the Prime Minister good health and a long life while praising India’s progress and its role on the global stage.
In his letter, the Dalai Lama congratulated Prime Minister Modi on India’s emergence as a strong and confident nation. He said that India’s success is not only important for the country but also contributes to global peace, stability, and development.
Dalai Lama Praises India’s Role

Referring to himself as a proud messenger of India, he said he has sought to share these traditions and values with people around the world.
According to the Dalai Lama, India’s civilizational and spiritual heritage contains important messages of peace, compassion, and mutual harmony. He expressed hope that India would continue to play a positive role in the world by promoting these values.
Expresses Gratitude for More Than Six Decades of Indian Hospitality
The Dalai Lama also expressed his gratitude to the Government of India and the people of the country. He said that he and the Tibetan community living with him have received warmth and generous hospitality from India for more than six decades.
He expressed appreciation for the support and respect extended to them during this period. The Dalai Lama has been living in India for many years, along with a large Tibetan community that has made India its home.

At the end of the letter, the Dalai Lama once again extended his birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He prayed for the Prime Minister’s good health, happiness, and long life.
