The board’s statement comes after an ethical hacker alleged that he had identified vulnerabilities in the portal and reported them to CERT-In, the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team, back in February.<\/p>\n
According to the hacker, the portal, which is critical for the evaluation and recording of student examination results, had security gaps that could potentially be exploited. “We want to clarify that the CBSE marking portal remains secure and fully operational,” a board official said. “No breach has been detected, and all data integrity is intact. The ethical hacker’s claim gained widespread attention, prompting both media scrutiny and public concern about the potential impact on examination results and students’ academic records.
