The Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG) has launched an investigation into the NEET-UG 2026 examination after claims surfaced that nearly 120 questions from the Chemistry section allegedly matched a \u201cguess paper\u201d circulated before the exam. The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG), conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is one of India\u2019s biggest medical entrance examinations.<\/p>\n
Addressing the media in Jaipur, SOG ADGP Vishal Bansal clarified that several misconceptions are circulating regarding the case. According to him, a PDF-based \u201cguess paper\u201d containing around 410 questions had reportedly been circulating among students nearly a month before the examination. Of these, around 120 questions are said to have appeared in the actual Chemistry paper.<\/p>\n
Bansal stated that the investigation is still in its early stages and officials are trying to trace the origin of the PDF document, which was allegedly shared widely through WhatsApp. The document reportedly consists of nearly 150 pages and has been found on multiple students\u2019 mobile phones. He added that the public circulation of the document makes tracing the original source difficult, as it may have been repeatedly shared through photocopy shops, coaching networks, and social media platforms.<\/p>\n
The NTA has assured students and parents that the examination was conducted under strict security measures, including GPS-tracked transport of question papers, biometric verification, AI-based CCTV monitoring, and 5G jammers at examination centres. The agency said it received inputs regarding alleged malpractice on May 7 and immediately forwarded them to central agencies for verification.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, opposition parties have targeted the BJP-led government over repeated allegations of examination leaks. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal both criticized the system, demanding stronger action against paper leak mafias.
