Shooter’s Name and Age Match, But Mother Denies Identifying Son in Tiger Shroff Firing Case

Three suspects were arrested in connection with the firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s car, and one of them has been linked to Begusarai’s Pipra village in Bihar. The accused, Hrithik Kumar alias Roshan, shares the same name, father’s name, and age as a local youth. However, despite verification efforts, the family has denied identifying the person shown in the police photo as their son.

Suspect’s Identity Under Scrutiny

After the arrests, police revealed that Hrithik Kumar alias Roshan hailed from Pipra village, under Ratnapur police jurisdiction. His father’s name is Ramu Mahto. Following a tip from Mumbai police, Begusarai police visited the village to verify the house and questioned Ramu Mahto and family members. They found a young man matching Hrithik’s details living there, reportedly in his early twenties and working in Mumbai.

Despite the matching details, the family refused to identify the man in the police photograph as their son. This contradiction has raised concerns about the true identity of the arrested shooter. The police are continuing their investigation to clarify whether the person in custody and the youth from Pipra are the same individual.

Family Concerns and Confusion

Ramu Mahto runs a shop selling breakfast and beauty products in Pipra. His family said their son lived in Mumbai, where he worked as a cook before this case surfaced. They expressed worry because they have been unable to contact him for the past two days. His phone remains switched off despite police attempts to reach him, deepening their concern.

The family is puzzled as to how the arrested man’s name, father’s name, and age align so closely with their son’s, yet the photo shown by police does not match. They are also unsure why the family refuses to acknowledge him if indeed he is their relative. The police await the outcome of their ongoing inquiry to resolve this confusion.

Hrithik’s mother, Sanyukta Devi, said her son lives in Mumbai. She acknowledged that the names correspond but maintained that the photo is not of her son. She said, “My son stays in Mumbai. The name matches, but that is not my son. We have not been able to contact him since yesterday; his phone is switched off.”

She denied that her son could be involved in such a criminal act. Despite the family’s insistence, the identity issue remains unsettled. They continue their efforts to establish contact and clarify the situation. The family wants a clear distinction between the suspect detained in Mumbai and their son.

Local Police Investigate

Following information from Mumbai police, officers from Ratnapur police station visited Pipra village to cross-check the details and gather information from the family. The investigation is still ongoing, and current information has not conclusively confirmed whether the arrested Hrithik Kumar alias Roshan is Ramu Mahto’s son. Differences in the family’s statements and police findings have heightened the importance of verifying the suspect’s identity.

The shooting incident is believed to have taken place on the evening of October 18 in Mumbai’s Juhu area. Tiger Shroff was returning home in his BMW after playing a football match when attackers on a motorcycle fired shots at his vehicle. Two assailants reportedly dismounted their bike and opened fire, discharging approximately seven rounds, five of which struck the car.
