International runner Seema Kumari of Chamba received a grand welcome in her home district on Sunday after returning from the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, where she won a bronze medal in the 10,000-meter race. Her achievement sparked celebrations among local residents.
A special felicitation ceremony was organized at the Rising Star Public School campus when Seema arrived in Udaipur. Local residents welcomed and honored the athlete during the event.
### Family to Host Shiv Nuala
Seema’s family is also extremely excited about her achievement. To celebrate her success, the family will organize a Shiv Nuala at their home. During the Nuala, devotees traditionally worship Lord Shiva throughout the night and sing devotional bhajans.
### Seema Shares Asian Games Experience
During the felicitation ceremony, Seema Kumari also shared her experiences from the Asian Games. She said that when athletes from other states returned home after winning medals, they were welcomed and celebrated in a similar manner, and she was now receiving the same kind of welcome.
Seema said she was extremely happy to receive such an honor. The recognition she received in her home district after winning the bronze medal at the Asian Games made her achievement even more special.
