Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has made a major announcement for government employees in the state. Addressing a public meeting in Balh, Mandi district, the Chief Minister said employees would receive their Dearness Allowance (DA) before Diwali. The announcement is expected to provide relief to employees who have been waiting for the pending DA payment.
DA to Be Paid Before Diwali
Chief Minister Sukhu said the state’s government employees would receive their DA before Diwali. He assured employees that they would have a happier Diwali this year. Employees have been raising demands for a long time regarding pending dues and outstanding DA instalments.
The Chief Minister also said that while employees’ concerns and demands regarding their dues may be legitimate, they should also consider the broader interests of the state. The government is seeking cooperation from employees amid the state’s financial challenges.
DSP Office to Be Established in Balh
During his visit to Mandi, the Chief Minister made several important announcements related to the development of the Balh region at a public meeting held at Kansa Chowk.
He announced the establishment of a DSP office in Balh. The move is expected to improve police administration and make related services more accessible to residents of the area.
The Chief Minister also announced the opening of a CBSE school in Gurukotha, which is expected to strengthen educational facilities in the region.
Jal Shakti and Electricity Division Offices Announced
The Chief Minister also announced the establishment of Jal Shakti Department and Electricity Department division offices in Balh.
The opening of these offices is expected to reduce residents’ dependence on other areas for government services and make administrative work more accessible at the local level.
₹3 Crore Approved for Roads
To improve road infrastructure in the area, the Chief Minister announced the immediate approval of ₹3 crore.
The announcement is significant for local residents, who have been raising demands for road improvements and better basic infrastructure.
Changes Announced in ‘Sukhi Parivar’ Scheme
The Chief Minister also announced changes related to the ‘Sukhi Parivar’ scheme. The government indicated that changes would be made to the eligibility criteria concerning one day of MGNREGA wages and the annual income limit of ₹75,000.
The objective, according to the government, is to ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes reach families who genuinely need them.
